Default I folded a $150,000 hand at a 2/4 table

This is just a rant. I am so dissapointed right now.

PartyPoker 2/4 Jackpot table ($422,000.00) 9 players.
Hero is SB

Folded to MP2 raises, MP3 folds, CO calls, button calls, Hero (J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]) folds, BB calls

FLOP: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)

MP2 bets, CO calls, button raises, MP2 calls, CO calls

Turn: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checked around

River: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Checked to button who bets, everyone folds.

Button shows 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] for the Straight Flush

MP2 claims to have open raised with ATs

I feel like I played the hand correctly and got punched in the stomach for it. Quite frankly, I never dreamed that I would hit the jackpot. I just figured that I could multitable on the Jackpot tables and maybe be lucky enough to be there when one hit. I just can't get this hand out of my mind. This sucks

That really sucks. There's nothing you could do about it.. J8o is about as unlikely as a jackpot hand as you will find.

yea that does blow. if it doesn't get raised preflop you complete the sb and the hand plays itself out. at least the dude openraised a legitmate hand and not some cheese. then you'd be suprememely pissed.

Yeah, you will remember this forever - but the truth is, you played it right. You need to keep repeating what you said in your post "you played the hand correctly".

let it go

you complete with j8o?

just b/c of the jackpot, or just with soft opponents, or is that a general line in small stakes play?

you complete with j8o?

That was my thought, too. I would have mucked this $150,000 hand without a thought, regardless of the pfr.

We feel your pain, man. That absolutely sucks.

alot of things combined to make this frusturating. J8os is worthless except in the blinds. Even at the 3/6 level I'm not completing. With the 1/2 blind structure of 2/4 though I'm going to take a shot...not even thinking about the jackpot. If this had been J8s I think I would have called with 2 cold callers. Even if it was a hand like K8os I think it would be easier because I am not going to call that raise or no raise.

On the flip side of things I would have open raised the ATs also. Just a crappy set of circumstances.
