I believe all hardware routers have the firewall builtin, but you may was to read some security posts made here in the past week about spyware, keyloggers, etc, you may want to install a software firewall like zonealarm(its free, the basic version anyway) and also detects software on your computer trying to send out without your knowledge.

Not all, but Netgear's is definitely one of the best and is very customizeable. Linksys I believe does not come with a hardware firewall. It might be a good idea to get a software one as well just in case you take your laptop outside your network.

Netgear makes crappy, crappy products in my opinion. I wouldn't trust anything from them.

For truly paranoid go with real firewall hardware like Sonicwall.

Make sure you keep the firmware up-to-date. (Check their site once a week for updates). That will help somewhat...

An additional software firewall couldn't hurt. XP has one built in, personally I use the Norton Internet Security package (firewall/antivirus).
