Default check raise gone wrong what now?

Table is quite tight in general no specific reads. Was plannig a check raise but got raised before I could get to it. What is the correct move here?

I think you played this well. QJs is a trap hand, so calling PF is fine. The flop was great for you - top pair, good kicker. I prefer a straight raise here rather than a check raise b/c with so many callers you run the risk of having it checked around. With the board looking as it did at this point, you want the K and A hands out, which is what your 3 bet did. It looks like you're ahead at the turn and river, so you correctly bet into him. Hope you won the hand!

I like folding. Your hand isn't going to be good here very often, and judging from the action you're seeing, it's going to be expensive to call down here.

I bet the flop. If I checked it, i'd fold to 2 cold with a weak made hand out of position.

Muck it on the flop and kick the dog.

Bet the flop, probably fold if 2 cold back to you.

interesting...what was your thought process with the check-raise?

i'd bet out the flop. the way it looks, I think MP2 was trying to isolate UTG and didn't expect you to come jumping out of the weeds.

if you bet this flop and get a caller and MP2 still raises, i'd call and bet/fold to a turn raise.

as this played out, i really dont' know if you scared a JA into call-down mode who was afraid of being reverse dominated or if you are actually good here vs a 7A or JT.

hope it worked out for you,
--oj.
