The Sonics are good
Damn, as a Seattle fan, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and for them to go on a nice 2-8 stretch. Instead they go on the road and beat Shaq and Miami. They are legit.

They seem to be the real deal. I just hope the can keep it up, I'm going to be at the Heat game in Seattle on Sunday. |

Re: The Sonics are good
Phoenix, San Antonio, and Miami get all the credit and respect, but the Sonics just keep on winning with team basketball.
Go Sonics! |

Re: The Sonics are good
They wont go deep in the playoffs though. No big man to compete with Duncan/Garnett/Webber/Yao/Etc.
Jesus Shuttlesworth is g00t though! |

Re: The Sonics are good
they handled Shaq very well last night, they have also beaten all the teams you listed(IIRC). I keep hearing this nonsense that they have no inside presence, and it clearly comes from people that don't watch any of there games. Fortson is an animal on the boards, plus he is large enough to provide d on any big man. Jerome James has an average inside offensive game; he also blocks shots. Reggie Evans is an animal on the boards as well, and so is Collison. The thing most people don't realize is that there is almost drop off(skill-wise) when Fortson comes in for James, and when Collison comes in for Evans. All four of these players proved an absurd amount of energy and intensity. All four play good team D too. This nonsense about not being able to compete is bs and is coming from short-sighted people.
