Hi!
The last months I have experimented a bit..: When i steam a bit after a couple of horrible beats I take 5-10 min off poker, grab a nice and cold beer and return to my computer. This has seemed to get me off tilt a bit and give me back the focus on the game. The question is: does anyone else have the same experience? Or is this just my imagination? Could it be just that I fool my self into thinking that it will help, and that the effect it really has is only the placebo effect? |

yeah, just don't do it ten times a night.
i go have a smoke, call my girl over(that REALLY works), play a 5$ hu match or other really easy game(to boost my confidance that i AM, indeed, a skilled player), do a set of pushups/situps/lunges, or anything else that gets my mind off of the game that tilted me. exercise (of any kind ) seems to work best, and when i come back, i am definitly less tilted. oh one more thing that helps: coming to these forums and makng a couple of posts really seems to get my head back into the game. back to NL now. Suggest a non-alchoholic cool off. Otherwise, it
is the right attitude. I am gaining the maturity to just sit out a couple hands (always folding anyway) and gain it back in that span. Just reminding myself how poorly they played to beat me usually does it. (get back on track) |
