KJs, raise PF?
PokerRoom 50/$1
game is loose/typical, many players new to table. With my hole cards, I wanted as many to see the flop as possible, thus the lack of PF raise. That and I feared the possibility of a reraise due to my position. Am I correct? Other comments also welcome. Seat 10: Hero (UTG+1) [KD,JD] ($42.15 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS SB posts blind ($0.25), BB posts blind ($0.50). PRE-FLOP UTG calls $0.50, Hero (UTG+1) calls $0.50, UTG+2 calls $0.50, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0.50, MP3 folds, CO folds, Button calls $0.50, SB calls $0.25, BB checks. FLOP [board cards JC,4C,QS ] SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero (UTG+1) bets $0.50, UTG+2 calls $0.50, MP2 folds, Button folds, SB calls $0.50, BB calls $0.50, UTG folds. TURN [board cards JC,4C,QS,3H ] SB checks, BB checks, Hero (UTG+1) bets $1, UTG+2 calls $1, SB folds, BB folds. RIVER [board cards JC,4C,QS,3H,KS ] Hero (UTG+1) bets $1, UTG+2 calls $1. |

Re: KJs, raise PF?
I think you played this well. You're in EP, so I wouldn't raise KJs PF (though I would from MP or LP).

Re: KJs, raise PF?
hi
old me would limp this UTG+1 and think, "man, I'm in early position. KJs is relatively strong, but not too strong. i don't think i can raise this." new me would raise this UTG+1 and think, "bling bling, suckas!" i'd raise this up. in a typical loose passive game KJs is strong (and I don't fear a reraise preflop). |
