AC this week/weekend....2+2 craziness again??

Hi All,

I'm heading down to AC this Thursday and planning on staying till Saturday night. I will be going to play in the WSOP circuit even on Friday at Harrahs. The rest of the time I will be spewing chips at the Borg. Anyone else going to be around?

Anyone who hadn't planned on it, how bout we try and get a 2+2 thing going? The hilarity in those trip reports is too much....i gotta experience this first hand! PM or post for details on transportation etc.

I may be coming down on Saturday while the other half shops for wedding dress and other foo-foo stuff back home, I'll know for sure later on this week.....

Do you know for sure whether:

1.) The Borgata will have rooms available at the poker rate this weekend; and
2.) Harrah's will have one table satellites ($50 buy in, presumably) for the $500 limit and no-limit events over the weekend? (Their web site says they'll have one table SnGs for seats for all events...)

The Borg doesn't have the poker rate for Friday when I called. I would have been able to get it for Thursday but I decided to stay at Harrahs. Harrahs will give you a break on the room if you say you're staying for the tourney. I got the room for Thursday at 86 bucks and friday for 150. Thats INCLUDING taxes so its not too bad a deal.

AS far as the satellites go, they run 24/7...not sure of the buy in....i think its 75 but they only have 8 people. Someone had stated that when he went there were 4 people signed up for a satellite but the room was dead. When i called they said they had a little over 500 seat capacity so hopefully the traffic will pick up towards the end of this week.

I just booked a room for Friday night less than an hour ago. I recommend calling ahead of time and booking a room for the poker rate.

There is a weekend poker rate of $125 regardless of the number of hours you play.

Not a heavy hitter, in fact I whiff quite a bit! :P
But you just have to call reservations and book a room at the poker rate. If they have them available, anyone can get one (even me! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]).

Thats what I did around 3 weeks ago. The woman on the phone said nothing was availbe for the Friday poker rate. Maybe you snagged a cancellation.
