Showdown at the Sands 2004 ?

Does anyone know if the Showdown at the Sands tournament was held in 2004? If it wasnt anyone know why? I remember that it was supoosedly the most successful 1st year of a $10,000+ entry tournament. I thought the coverage was pretty good as well

I know it was not held that's about it. The Foxwoods 10K event would have slightly interfered with the early events if they scheduled it in the same period as last year. I guess is one possible reason. I heard fox uses an outside production company for the Poker superstars event of sundays so maybe they are no longer interested in producing these type of events. just speculation dont know the definite reason.
