Have you checked out the Mohawk casino in Cornwall, ON? I think it would be closer to you than Turning Stone, I'm just not exactly sure about the games they offer. http://www.mohawkcasino.com

I'd say somewhere around 4 hours, but I could be off. I'm an hour and change north of Turning Stone, and I think last time I went to Montreal it took 2 1/2 hours. Again, I could be off. Geography is not my strong point. You should come down the 7th if you can make it to meet up with the 2+2ers that will be there.

Snowbank, you sound like you're in the Watertown area. Or Adams maybe?

I haven't made the trip myself, but I've heard it's about 5-5 1/2 hours from Montreal to Turning Stone.

The Akwesasne casino (which is actually in upstate NY, across the border from Cornwall) is much closer--appx. 60-90 mins. Check out this page for a listing of their hours and games spread:

I made the trip from Ottawa to TS in November last year. It would have taken about 3 hours for us had we not got lost due to poor navigation. I think the trip down the 417 is a little shorter than the trip from Montreal to the 401/416 area, but not by much more than a half hour if I remember correctly. We got our map from the MapQuest website and it was helpful (I don't blame our getting lost on the map). Also if you bring a birth certificate for the border guards you'll get into the US a lot faster. We just had our drivers licenses and various other photo IDs and it took about 20 minutes of questioning for us to get across the border

This has to be the worst run casino in the country. Aside from their outrageous rake, they have pisspoor comps, overpriced food that is the worst I have ever seen, shitty dealers, and zero willingness to accept the customer as being number one.

Stay away from this hole at all costs.
