Default I\'d apprciate some river advice here

I've only played half a dozen hands with the Villan, but he seems pretty loose from the very small number of hands I've seen

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Hero calls, 3 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, MP3 bets, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, MP3 folds, CO folds, SB calls, BB calls.

River: (11.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero ?

flop advice: bet
turn: raise is fine.
river: i call here. with a bet and a call im not too sure a set is good here. bb could be holding the 3 and is scared of the flush.

If you are playing for real money, fold 66 UTG. Unless raising will likely steal the blinds or leave you with only one or two callers. Especially if you feel the table will be more gunshy as a result of a PF raise.

I'd have to disagree. I have 66 UTG and until I find out otherwise, I would assume this table is similar to most other .5/1 tables I play (plenty of players seeing a flop and not much raising) so I think calling UTG is okay. Pre-flop raise is not a good idea since my low PP enjoys lots of company.

Looks like you played it fine on all streets. Call the river. You're getting 11:1 pot odds and your set will be good much more often than that.

Do you think 66 UTG will bring a pot?

Maybe if I expected to pay 3 BB for the pot. 3:1 and 11bb is kind of rich.

Over 4 hands Hero is paying 44BB and likely loses to a higher pair or better all 4 hands.

Wow, I haven't been here long, but this sure does seem to come up often.

At a loose table, you should only be folding small pocket pairs preflop to raises (and not even all the time here), or folding them in LP with no limpers.

Pay off. You only have to win a small percent of the time to make it worthwhile.

I know you didn't ask for flop advice, but check calling the flop with an overpair and a gutshot was very very bad. Were you slowplaying? Your hand isn't strong enough to slowplay. You should have clearly bet here.

Bet the flop, raise the turn, call the river.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Must we discuss this all the time?

Yes, there are tables where you should fold 66 UTG. You should try your best to avoid those. There are also tables where calling with 66 UTG is fine, because the players behind you are loose-passive, and if you flop a set you'll make up for the few SB deficit you take when not quite enough people call.

With 6 people seeing the flop, this is not a bad table to be holding 66 UTG.

Flop: Bet. Others have covered this.
Turn: I like the raise.
River: At this point, facing a stop and go on a non-scare card on the river, I'm calling.
