Re: heads up 1/2
i don't think 3-betting the turn is a good idea.

Re: heads up 1/2
Why are we calling the turn raise? This is usually an indication of a very strong hand. Even if he just has a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] draw, he might have as many as 15 outs.

Re: heads up 1/2
why would he go for a checkraise on the turn on that board? he wants me to fold and he thinks the best way for him to get me to fold is checkraising the turn. even if he has a small pp or one of those cards i have 6 clean outs but more likely hes semibluffing his 4 flush when his club hits.. if a turn hits the river i think i can safely fold..

Re: heads up 1/2
You don't have odds to chase 6 outs, not that you know all of them are clean anyhow.
Unless you have a read that the opponent is tricky, he wants your money here, not for you to fold. -d |

Re: heads up 1/2
I'm assuming that this guy is passive. He is probably not making this play with an underpair. FWIW he is raising and not check/raising.
If he used the check/call, check/raise line I'm folding faster then cheap suit. Brad |

Re: heads up 1/2
ah yes my mistake, not checkraise but raise, either way theres nothing on that board that i am scared of.. i dont have any significant reads on this fellow as i was 4 tableing at the time, i see this play made all the time however and more often then not im way ahead.. as to meeps comment it is true that it is not worth chasing 6 outs.. but i feel that im ahead here and therefor he is the one that is chasing

If I were one to have a slightly higher VPIP I'd play 77 and 88 this way, and fold to a 3-bet pretty often. Rob |
