Met Joe Awada last night
Just a quick note....was at GreekTown Casino last night in Detroit to get in on some action and in walks Joe Awada. Most in the Poker room had no clue who he was, some recognized him but didn't know his name....etc.
I figured I would at least shake his hand and tell him I thought he was all class. I also said I thought he should have 2 bracelets instead of one this year, and he should have slapped Fischman for coming on the table like that. He said Fischman was just young, and that he apologized after the fact. He said he appreciated me saying how classy he was and asked if I was going to play in the big no limit game there....(uh...even if I were so inclined...I might think twice if Mr. Awada came and sat next to me!) It was clear that most at the table really didn't know who he was, but wondered who came to the table with so much $$$ in chips!!....Don't know how he did...he was there for about 2.5-3 hours. Classy gentleman....kudos Mr. Awada! |

Re: Met Joe Awada last night
You are incorrect. Do you see why?
I'll let others elaborate. |

Re: Met Joe Awada last night
Joe Awada had a monster WSOP and seems like a class act. For younger players like myself proof that poker is not soon to be taken over by 20 something online players...at least not anytime soon.
