Default UB bonus dollars

How long do they stay in your account? I have $100 bonus dollars, which will take me forever to work off. How long do I have to redeem them? As long as I need?

UB bonus dollars never expire.

they do take a little bit longer than other sites to redeem, but you should be able to clear about one BB's worth an hour. multitabling helps, as does starting a new table which earns at double the rate.

plus you can do some cool stuff with the UB player points themselves as well, once you're done.

if you play micro NL or fixed limits lower than $1/2, then yes it will probably take a while to work off.

The UB bonus structure works best in games where the pot sizes are consistently more than $20 (resulting in a minimum $1 rake). I generally will play two $2/4 tables at the same time, and earn about $10 bonus per hour on top of whatever I make (or lose!) in actual play.

one good thing while you're trying to earn UB bonus dollars is that they give them to you at the end of each playing session 'in real time', regardless of how long or short you sat down for. Earn 39.40 ultimate points, get $3.94 in your account on the spot. even on a super-easy bonus site like Party Poker, you still have to play ALL of the requisite hands up front before receiving your bonus deal in one lump sum.

But that's a big tradeoff. You're forfeiting more money back in return for instant payback.

UB's bonus money is about a 10% rake back (double if you're 1st / 2nd at a table) which is still less than what most people get as rakeback deals on Party.

I wasn't trying to say that UB's bonus structure was better than party. If you go through my posting history, you should probably know that I am one of the most bonus-conscious players here in general.

I was merely putting what little light on the situation there was, that david04 was already put in. Most online players will some way or another come across a playing situation on UB sometime in their career, so might as well have the most knowledge going into it as possible.

UB's bonus money is about a 10% rake back

You missed off a 0, it's nearly 100%

Rake UltimatePoints™
$1.00 - $3.00 1.00

The worst case is a $3 rake pot, you only get 33% back if you win 10% of pots at a 10-handed table (allowing for sharks and fish alike), but seating first takes this to 66%.
For the low limit player, the rake back is closer to 75% with 150% for starting a game.
150% rake back is hardly a bad deal.

Average player plays at worst at $1/2 10 player tables rake free. Good point Lori, I missed that.

Lori,

You clear $1 bonus in return for 10 UltimatePoints. 1 UP is roughly $1 rake paid, in other words you clear $1 bonus in return for $10 rake paid hence the 10%.
