Default $530 PS Monthly Tourney Hand

Hi all & Thx to the people who sweated me for a short time after we got to the ' in the money ' stages.

My question is, am I overplaying small pairs at this stage of a comp? Should I be just mucking em and waiting for bigger hands or blind stealing opportunities?

Two big comps running I've had an above average stack and found an early position player mini-raise and looked down to see a pocket pair,in this case it was 5s.

Blinds are 2k/4k with 200 ante, I have 65K

UTG+1 mini raises to 8K , I call,folded to BB(61K) who also calls.

Flop comes TT3 with 2 spades

BB leads out for 8k which I believe is weak,UTG+1 folds and I reraise to 24K,unfortunatly the BB calls and a spade comes on the turn,

BB moves all in

Obviously I cant call this, but maybe I shudnt be in this spot in the first place. My intention was to play it purely for set value but the way the hand developed I felt i was in front on the flop.

I hate moving all in when I have a decent stack,as I feel I play better after the flop and hate trusting to luck unless its neccessary, though I feel some might say this would be correct on the flop.

I am hoping to get some replies from people who have been inthis spot before in a larger buy in tourney, preferably more than once.
