Re: Results
I wondered if I could have gotten more
HERO shows [ Kh, Ac, Jd, 6h ] a full house, Aces full of jacks. RockinDoc doesn't show [ 8c, As, Tc, 7c ] three of a kind, aces. HERO $187 from the main pot with a full house, Aces full of jacks. There was no qualifying low hand. |

Re: Limit Omaha -- Flopped Trips
This apparently is an 8/b game. So why would you play Kh Ac Jd 6h?

Re: Limit Omaha -- Flopped Trips
Looks good but I personally don't really have the stomach to play AKJ6.

Re: Limit Omaha -- Flopped Trips
The only reasonable calls against you are the holder of the other ace and anybody playing after you not facing a re-raise and holding K-J (on the assumptions that the other ace holder, if he had the full house, would check and let you lead the betting and that your raise means you don't have the full house yet either... you'd call and hope for company if you had it), but even this call is questionable since that person has only four outs. So your post-flop play seems OK, but I agree with the others about your decision to call the blind. I'd play that hand only if I'm in late position with no other callers... and then I'd raise instead of call.

Re: Limit Omaha -- Flopped Trips
Post flop your play is fine.
On that flop I'm worried about QQ, and i'm worried about AQ the whole way - but I am thinking that is pretty rare, once the 6 hits, I'm in good shape. If a 6 doesn't hit do you slow down? A bigger question is - WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THIS HAND IN THE FIRST PLACE? Your low is an 6-A, with no other low cards, you have no suits, and a high straight draw. This seems very thin here What are you hoping for on the flop? To flop a boat or broadway? Even if the flop came AA 4- you might be playing for half he pot, and already be behind an A234 hand. |

Re: Limit Omaha -- Flopped Trips
Now that you mention it I think you're right. I was really thin pre-flop.
I think I over value K suited, and even more so A suited, pre-flop. I look for reasons to stay with these flush hands, which is probably a symptom of a greater problem -- looking for reasons to stay period. |

Re: Limit Omaha -- Flopped Trips
Not a good hand to play but post flop a playable hand.
Your raise to drive out the low hands was good. You now have to put Rockindoc on a hand, what could he be calling with? QQXX, AQXX, AsQX,AsJXX With his raising pattern I would put him on AQ rather than AJ as you also have a J in hand. However with the action at the river he could have the 6 or J as AQ was the nuts. |
