if by idiot you mean prudent trout looking to avoid getting run over in the future, then i agree.

by fish i guess you mean non-trout.. this isn't a loose-passive guy. two pair is enough hand to look up an oddly played hand. he could be bluffing the scare card with a worse hand on occasion.

Maybe I'm an idiot, too, but I'd probably make the crying call every time. I think I've said this 2 or 3 times already but I am getting bluff-raised on the river with junk a LOT these days.

What did fast_johnny show in hand #1? AA? QQ? I don't think I would have 3-bet the river unless he's a major lag or you all were just playing for fun.

Good hand. I don't checkraise the river either. If you didn't flop top set, but something like a set of 6's, I'd probably slow down on Villan's turn raise.
