Fold PF.
Otherwise, fine. You're not in position to protect your hand on the flop, so calling is good, you get more outs on the turn, call is good. Bet with trips.

why would i fold this hand pf? i have T7s on the button and there are already 5 people in the pot.. what hand would i be protecting on the flop? middle pair when theres a preflop raiser? im almost certainly behind if not to the pf raiser then to one of the other 5 people who called his flop bet...

Not a good preflop call. Only three limpers to you. T9s sure, not T7s or T8s. The rest of the hand is fine.

PF: whatever.. its part of the diff between 18 VPIP and 22 VPIP. LP blinds, i may call. T8s, I call. T7s.. look for reasons to fold. if you can't find any.. limp.

postflop: fine. no reason to get 3-bet anywhere.

unimproved what's your river action if bet into and no one calls? i assume a fold if bet into and called once before you act.

Apparently no one yet agrees, but I think you have an easy turn raise.

I am a newbie. Are there 2 schools of thought - one resulting in a VPIP around 18 and another that results in a 22 VPIP? Or is this just another way of saying you think this is too loose of a play and he should have folded pf?
