Induce a bluff or bet?
Party 15/30 9 handed By circumstance my table image is hyper-aggressive
Folded to good player in MP who raises, I 3-bet from CO with Jc Jh, all fold to MP who calls. Flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] MP checks, I bet, MP calls. Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]) MP checks, I bet, MP folds. I strongly considered checking to try to induce a bluff. I decided to bet because my table image might get me a call from a worse hand and also because I knew if my opponent won by catching a king or a queen I would probably start steaming. Those two factors aside, do you recommend betting out here or checking to induce a bluff? |

Re: Induce a bluff or bet?
Checking here because your afraid your opponent will fold is not a good reason to check. Your hand isn't strong enough to be giving free cards. Checking because your afraid of being check-raised and possibly folding a better hand is a better reason to check, but I think betting out is still the best play in this situation. You should be happy to drag the pot uncontested on the turn.

Re: Induce a bluff or bet?
i think checking is the better play here. what will mp possibly call with on this turn that he beats? yes a K or Q can fall off on the river, but i dont think it will enough times to justify betting.
