Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: (7 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7 players) Hero .... What do you say? A bet or try a checkraise to thin out the field? -aron |

Re: isolate or bet the flop
I like a bet here, because I think most Aces will raise you and you can 3-bet it. The likelihood you are up against AA/AK/AQ is negligible.

Re: isolate or bet the flop
How tight's the table? My standard line would be to lead out as well. If you get reraised, you 3 bet, and it gets capped, you probably won't have many come with you anyway. No pf raise probably means you are good here. (I do like to limp with AQ up front though, but I'm a sneaky bastard!)

Re: isolate or bet the flop
With so many opponents I was thinking that someone might turn a two pair or something.
I went for the checkraise and everyone checked behind. I then bet the turn, got like one caller, bet the river and he folded. Thanks for the input, next time I'll go for a bet. -aron |

Re: isolate or bet the flop
there was no pfr so they probably dont have AA/AK/AQ. A9 is possible but always fearing two pairs is seeing monsters under the bed.
Bet this. CR is too risky at this flop since alot players check with a ace-low kicker or any other hand. 3-bet if raised. |
