Unfortuntely - no read on this player.

but why no raise on the turn? fear of AA or QQ?

I'd bet out or check raise the turn. If he smooth calls the turn bet I'd bet out on the river, if he caps I'd check/call the river. Are you really afraid of 86 or 63?

I don't think villain will cap preflop with 86 or 63. I think its AA or QQ that hero is afraid of.

I think that is a good line, wayfare.

you don't telegraph your hand as much the times you are ahead and the times you are behind on the turn, you will see a 3 bet from villain, allowing you to laydown or check call the river.
