Default 2+2ers in Ontario

Brantford looks incredibly soft so far, and I play in a couple decent home games. What are the other spots in Ontario like?

Every casino that has a pokerroom in Ontario is incredibly soft. Underground clubs in Ontario are incredibly soft. Heck, I don't think I've ever seen a live game that hasn't been incredibly soft.

just got back from brantford. the 10-20 was incredibly soft and wonderful. had a guy that was raising anything in late position to my right... he showed down 54o after raising preflop on one hand. i was isolating with K9o and other such fun hands. made 59BB in 6-7 hours.

as for all ontario games being soft, this is pretty much true, though the games at great blue heron in port perry can be ridiculously tight sometimes. at times, the 5/10 is unbeatable (literally) due to the high rake and the fact that there are so many rocks.

Try Brantford when some of the regulars are in the game. See how soft you find it. The great-looking oriental woman, I think, is one of the top-rated players in the game and will kick your butt all the way to Oakville if you make moves with crap like K,9 off. Some days are soft, others are not so soft. The 10-20 is definitely the best overall game.

When does Niagara open their huge room? They've been yacking about it for months. That will be packed with customers from over-the-river, so I'm going there a lot when they open it.

Ryden, I dont think that the RiverView poker room will be as packed with Americans as you think. I know a TON of people who no longer go to Canada to gamble because they dont give out FREE DRINKS like at Seneca.

there were several regulars in this game. the guy raising 54o was a regular. they're all between extremely passive and somewhat passive, and love to cold call with garbage. (the 54o guy was just a pre-flop maniac, and became passive after the flop, with the exception that he'd ALWAYS bet when checked to in late position.) i'm sure the regulars in the 20-40 and up are stronger players.

and yeah, i need a very strong read before making a move with K9o.

Oh trust me there will be enough of us over there. Canadian games make up for the lack of free drinks, plus I don't drink when I play
