Default AQo VS Maniac

I believed I played this right. This guy bluffs at any opportunity he can. He did something similiar to this eariler where he caught a flush on the river with 85. It also seemed sorta wierd to me that he called preflop, then raised my raise...

thanks in advance.

This hand seems to have so many variables. Your read on the player makes the case for the aggressive play. But he could easily have a 10, or like you said how he played a flush draw on a previous hand. That would make me not bet the river. Everything else seemed right to me.

I like the play except for the river. The Q did not improve your hand very much, only thing you beat now is AK really. I think check call the river is correct.

Yeah, I guess I did put BB in the pot on the river that shouldn't be there. Here is what he had:

Thanks for your comments.

I've seen a decent amount of Party 0.5/1 maniacs limp reraise preflop with garbage. Seems like they are trying to punish you for challenging them for control of the table. Good in the long run though, as always.

In these .5/1 party games, i've seen lots of crazy stuff, but when people are 1st in, i've seen lots of limp re-raising w/ big pocket pairs (saw it on tv is my guess). You having an Ace makes it unlikely, but the shear agression makes me think AA is not out of the question.

Edit- reading the rest of the posts i now feel silly , however, i stick by my story- i've seen the limp RR a bunch recently.
