I read in some secondary magazine that Barry Greenstein is supposed to come out with a book sometime in 2005. Originally he was going to write a few pages to add to Doyle's SSII, but ended up writing so much that Doyle told him to make his own book. The book is geared towards players beating 200-400, looking to make the jump to 400-800, to 1k/2k. Because the book has such a narrow market, Cardoza (his publisher), may not go through with the publishing and asked if Barry would tone down the strategical content so that more novices would be capable of reading it. Barry had none of it. Therefore, for those interested in this book, please drop Cardoza a line mentioning your interest at:

Are people playing 400-800 that much more advanced than a winning 200-400 player? Does the size of the limit really matter? Is Sklansky playing guy's in 300-600 who have their own ingenious style of play that concept's in HEPFAP would be rendered completly useless agaisnt them?

Hi AC:
I understand that at least part of the book is geared towards the $400-$800 player who wants to play a lot bigger. I agree with you that this seems a little unusual, but I for one do want to see what Greenstein writes. Best wishes, Mason |

I am very interested in the book as well. Just to see what the heck I don't know and what I might be able to learn someday.

[ QUOTE ] I have no author with this name, the title of the book would help us a great deal. [/ QUOTE ] |

I was told the the following:
"The manuscript has arrived but it needs a lot of work and will not be ready for close to a year." Doesn't that seem like a long time? I told them I might be on the rail by then! |

I got a reply (great customer relations):
"Please stop telling people to e mail us about this book. We have only received a rough draft of the book and it has to be looked at and then decided before any real decisions will be made." |
