Default how to handle a stretch of cold cards

I do pretty well for myself in home games and online. I play on a daily bases. For about a week solid now i haven't won anything. I loose every coin flip, I’m not hitting any drawing hands, but most importantly my bankroll is disintegrating. I know there are swings in poker but how do you handle the real long and tough down swings.

Wait for hot cards.

What did you want him to say? "Rob a bank in order to supplement your bankroll during this dry spell"? His advice is basically correct. If you want further suggestions, while waiting for the hot cards you could study strategy, look for leaks, and generally improve your game. Adopt a long-term mindset; this is essential. Read "Inside the Poker Mind" by John Feeney.

But basically just wait for hot cards.

Concentrate on continuing to play well. Don't back off on your big hands just because you know that you're going to get sucked out on.

You could move down a limit till you notice that the cards start coming, I'm on a really cold dry spell as well and have moved down a limit to help control the losses, and because I know I can beat the game much easier. GL and hang in there

You could also avoid playing hands like A-J, which long-term can lead to utter destruction but short-term can blow opponents out, especially if they're foolish enough to chase a ten on fifth street only to lose to the higher straight.

sorry bud,
what you are talking about are probably not the long and tough down swings,

but, at any rate,
you just suck it up, and focus on good play..

the good cards will come

Take out a 2nd mortgage, hock your wedding ring, whatever it takes to get lots of money, and play the party 15/30. Bet and raise at every opportunity without regard to your cards, the board or the cards you think your opponents hold.

If you do this, I guarantee that I will win inspite of my bad run of cards.

This forum has a search function and I suspect there are hundreds of these "what do I do during a downswing?" posts. So forgive me if I don't write an essay in response to your inquiry.
