Default 20-40 hand with Barry

The "what do you complete with in the SB" thread made me think of this one.

Looseish passive fish open limps in the CO. I complete the SB with 84o. Barry checks the BB.

Flop is As2s2c. I bet, Barry folds, CO calls.
Turn is 7d. I check, CO checks.
River is Kh. I bet, CO folds.

meh.

My only suggestion would be that you might have called the hand "20-40 hand with Looseish Passive Fish" instead.

Why do all of your hands that I'm at the table with you have me sitting to your left and folding like a little girl?

Why not:

I open raise 2 off the button, Barry thinks for a second and 3 bets, flop is Qxx, I bet, Barry raises, I call. Turn is a Q, I check, Barry bets, I fold.....

OK, I've been on your left the last 2 times, it's your turn next time...

Do you bet this as long as the river is not a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], or was the King the perfect card?

"Why do all of your hands that I'm at the table with you have me sitting to your left and folding like a little girl"

Because that's pretty much what happens on all but like 2 or 3 hands per session.

"Why not:

Simple Bayesian analysis. Since that hand constitued 1 out of 50 hands I raised, there was only a 2% chance of it getting posted.

I don't know. I'm just want to understand the play. Clark has 8-high, but it's likely that his opponent has nothing, but possibly higher than 8-high, so it's a good bluff.

My thinking was, this guy can't call that flop with absolutely nothing, so maybe he's drawing to a spade. Once the river misses a spade, then Clark bets no matter what value the card is, or would he make the bet even if it was a spade (assuming that more times than not, the CO has junk and will fold)?

Am I the only one that questions the pre-flop call?
