Default aggression numbers

I keep seeing the phrase "aggression numbers". What is this?

Some numbers are just naturally more angry than others. Take the number 83. You don't want to [censored] with 83, let me tell you.

Okay, lame joke aside, aggression stats are output from PokerTracker databases. I believe the calculation is the # of bets/raises made on a given street divided by the # of calls. (Maybe calls + checks?) Calling generally bad, bets/raises generally good.

If you're a check/caller, then you have low aggression #s -- generally below 1.0. If you're good, aggressive player, then your aggression #s on the flop and turn are going to be 3.0 or maybe higher.

Aggression Number is the same as Aggression Factor, which is calculated by the following formula:

(Raise%+Bet%)/(Call%)
