Default 20k Checkup

The game is Party 1/2 6max. The last 5,000 or so I've been working on loosening up pre-flop, including stealing/defending the blinds more often, and calling down a little more. Numbers in parentheses are the change from 10k.

20,075 Hands

VP$IP: 17.89% (+1.99)
VP$SB: 27.84% (+1.90)
FSB: 90.57% (+0.02)
FBB: 74.49% (+2.70)
ASB: 22.39% (+2.16)
W$WSF: 32.15% (+1.46)

AF-T: 2.95 (+0.05)
AF-R: 1.94 (-0.06)
W$SD-BR: 81.43% (-0.71)

That's still insanely tight pf. Knock it up another notch or two! In the 1/2 games I think that you should be able to get that up to at least 25%.

way to tight preflop, not raising enough hands. Defend your blinds more

Your PFR is way too low. For 1/2 I think that this could be at LEAST 3 or 4% higher.

Yeah, it's too tight in general for such a passive game as 1/2.

Putting a few of these stats together, I'd guess your biggest leak is folding on the river.

I think a bigger leak is that he should be playing ~40% more hands than he is right now.

If he's that tight pf then it makes sense he's winning 58% of showdowns, even if he isn't folding too much on the river (though he can post that stat).

Keep in mind, I started with a horrible cold run and it took me 9,800 hands just to see the green. My VP$IP for the last 4-5k (when I've really been focusing on loosening up and attackind/defending the blinds) is in the 20-21% range. I am pretty much looking for excuses to play hands though, so I'm not sure if I'm getting cold-decked again or really just that out of it on hand selection .

I think 20% is still too tight, especially for the 1/2 game. In a game where people call down with 2nd/3rd pair often, I'm playing stuff like KTo in the CO/button, etc.

Heck, just defending your blinds more (~55% is better) is going to give that a lift. Maybe that's all you need to do -- in a 6-handed game, defending your BB more often will up your VP$IP two or three percentage points.

I am pretty sure that cold cards have reduced my VP$IP around 2% up to this point, but that still leaves me about 5% short of where everyone says I should be. I don't think that my new pre-flop standards are off by that big a margin, but I just can't see blind defense and stealing accounting for so many hands. Would somebody be willing to look at my database and help me figure out what hands I need to add? I'm really at a loss on this one, and I feel pretty pathetic being so weak on the easiest street (Just bite your tongue Napster).
