Default Opinions on Pokerstars $1/2

Read a few conflicting reports on the kind of games at Pokerstars, specifically $1/2 full ring.

What's the opinions of all you micro veterans.

Assuming Party games are the softest(5) , and UB the toughest 1), please rate Stars $1/2.

2? 3? 4?
Thanks

I've played a few thousand hands at each, not a huge sample but anyway. Honestly, I would rate PokerStars(1) and UB(2). It's close but I've run across more good players at Stars.

Thanks for the response. I find it strange that dozens read the question but only one responded.

Maybe Pokerstars is very unpopular among 2+2 'ers?

I'd guess most of play on Party (or Skins) just because the game selection is so good.

I used to play Stars but I have no opinion on how good the games are these days.

Too be honest, I didn't really intend on replying. I play at stars on .25/.50 level right now, and was really interested in the responses. I wish party had .25/.50 so I could move over there, but for now, I'll just wait until I have my 300 BB's and then move.

I started at PS 1/2 and was doing decently (small sample) and then found Party. Haven't been back to PS much, except for a few SNGs and their FPP events.

PStars games are simply not as loose as Party games. I started on Party, went to Stars, and then quickly realized my mistake. THe lack of lower than .5/1 on Party is tough when you're trying to eek out a bankroll, but I'd make the move ASAP. Good luck.

I play a lot both at pokerstars and at party although not at the 1/2 level for a while. Pokerstars games in general are much tighter and the quality of play is generally higher than partypoker.

Pokerstars games are in my opinion still highly profitable because the vast majority of pokerstars players are weak tight. Startegies designed to beat weak-tight games are very profitable there.

I also feel that if you play exclusively at party or another fishy site you will not develop the ability to beat weak-tight games and you will not be as complete a player as you could be.

You make some good points.

Afterall, IMO, eventually all those fish at Party are going to run out of money. Then it will become important to be able to extract $$ from tables that are not quite so loose.
