Default Company Christmas party today

Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 and then "A Cowboy Christmas" at 7:00.

**Sigh** sometimes work really sucks

ummm, what exactly is a cowboy Christmas?

I really really really hope it does not involve western wear as that would be quite lame.

Something tells me it is going to be lame. At least I can get drunk for free before hand

It is a play btw

Company Christmas parties are "the bomb".

My first one at my current company (a very distinguished, prominent co). I threw a beer bottle into the street, and didn't realize there was a construction worker operating below (it was 10 PM at night). It didn't hit him, but it sure made it worse.

After fretting about getting fired, as about 100 witnesses saw me act like a total meathead, a VP grabbed my shoulder and said.

"Don't worry, as old you get breaking stuff when your drunk is still fun."

Truer words were never spoken.

Our Christmas parties used to be very cool. We would get off at noon on Friday and wouldn't stop drinking until the bars closed with a very nice dinner in between. They decided to change it this year for some reason. The whole thing seems extremely unexciting.

My company isn't giving one this year! It was better when I first started too, besides being younger I worked in a different department with many other younger people.

Anyway, you'll have fun, you know it. Enjoy.

Absolute best chance to take advantage of a dumb drunk intern, and yes it worth risking getting fired.

After over a decade of totally lame ass Christmas parties, I am actually looking forward to the one my company is having tomorrow. They are doing a casino night - should be cool.
