Default Misplayed JJ?

3/6 Crypto 6max BB is Loose passive CO is typical

UTG +1 calls, everyone folds to CO who raises, hero on the Button reraises with JJ, BB calls, UTG +1 folds,CO Caps and we both call.

A cap in this game usually means KK or AA

Flop is 10 7 6 with 2 hearts. BB checks, CO bets, Hero raises, BB cold calls, CO calls

Turn is a non heart 9. BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets, BB folds, CO raises, Hero calls.

River is 2 of spades. CO bets, hero folds.

I told myself to check the turn, but once I picked up a gutshot I bet. I thought the reraise meant either AA or TT.

Do I need to make the crying call on the river? I hate folding overpairs for one BB, but the preflop cap & turn check raise from this guy told me I was beat

The pot is way too big to fold for one bet with an overpair. If you're that confident you are beat, why did you play so aggressively up to that point?

You will get more (and probably better) responses on a 6-max hand in the short-handed forum.
