Default 30/60 Bellagio Hand

Got a chance to play some fun 30/60 at the Bellagio early this week. Had this very fun hand come up.

Villian in the hand was a very aggressive player who had two traits that stuck out. He would almost always open-raise from MP or later if folded to him (He had gotten caught a few times doing this), and he would almost always bet when checked to. Harry Demetriu was also in the game, making it very fun.

I was in the BB, he was in MP or so. He open-raised, and it was folded to me. I had K9s, and called one bet to see a flop. Flop is K9Rag. I check, he bets, I raise, he calls. (At this point, I decide its time to attempt the elusive triple check raise, which if it were ever possible, now was the time). Turn is a blank. I check, he bets, I raise, he folds. =/

The table chuckled for a bit, and fun was had by all (Except the villian, who was smoldering for a bit).

Sounds like he plays pretty good. That's a great way to beat the Vegas games, especially when they are "bad".

Though a successful execution of the infamous "trifecta" would have been fun, I think, given your read on the raiser, I might check/call the turn and let him bluff at you on the river.

True, but I was going purely for fun value at that point.

Clark and Gabe, you're right of course. Although he had a hard time believing when he was beat. Which is why I was amazed he laid it down on the turn.
