Disconnected at the final table!

Worst Bad Beat ever.So today I was playing the Party Poker tourney for 4.5 hours. I made the final table as the 3rd stack. Then my Internet goes out! My cell phone is dead too, nobody's home, and I can't even steal the Internet with my laptop from anywhere, because Cox sucks. When I came back, I was blinded out to 6th place. And you know all the real money is in top 3.

Odds of this 1 million to one!!

How did you guys deal with this?

I've had it happen to me, with two tables left. my whole school's network went down. not much to do, it sucks.

I feel your pain. Last night I was multi tabling SNG's and got diconnected, I was up in all of them. Losing four buy ins in a row always hurts but when your just giving away the money... [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

For big multis with high buy ins, if I was at a final table i would call a friend and get him to play it for me or tell me what my cards were over the phone, that would be a bad situation though. Tough Luck but lets be real about this a million to 1?!?! You must have a WAY better connection then me.

I'd give myself about 10:1 odds, given my comcast connection. Luckily, I live in an area of seattle that is populated by coffee shops and restaurants giving out free wifi. You should move, and buy better cell-phone batteries.
