Either someone who is very rich and just sat down at the 2/4 to play crazy stupid, just so they could see the astonished reactions of all the serious players. Or maybe it's someone who wants to "prove" to themselves that that just can't win in life and playing poker is great for acheiving this goal of self martyrdom.

Maybe he was just waiting for you to bluff since there was nothing in the pot? It is a bit disappointing to get AA in the SB and have everyone fold. I wouldn't slowplay as I expect to get my bets called from obsessive BB defenders, but I can understand his intent. Maybe, he knows your good and you would've folded your BB and he wanted some action from a possible pot steal attempt.

Probably, but it wasn't gonna happen. It's too tricky, but I doubt it's a huge leak blind vs. blind. Mostly, the hand just made me chuckle.

If you're really interested in understanding the mindset behind the behavior of these people, then I'd recommend posting it in the Psychology forum. I think they'd be a better resource for such questions.

My comment about these people is to be nice (or at least don't be rude) to them (as well as all players/people), and let them suckout on you without berating them.

What's so bad about that? All he needed was an 8 and he's got the stone cold nuts. He had to call on the river to see what you had. Don't you know anything?
