I am wondering what some of you top online pros think of the 100% matching bonus up to 600$ on fulltiltpoker.com Anyone gone through with this bonus? What do you have to do to qualify? It doesn't really tell you on the site. I got this bonus from the new John Juanda CardPlayer. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! thanks again.

Because it takes half a dozen hands to get a single point.. and you need more than one point per dollar of bonus.
So, to gather a $200 bonus, you have to play in excess of 1000 raked hands. |

So in reality I would have to see in excess of 5K flops?

You have to play an incredible amount of hands, and while I've never played there, I have read that the players at Full Tilt are all very tight. Some of the toughest low-limit poker you can find. You won't be seeing many flops.

I believe the deal gives you just over 50% of your rake back. If that's true, that's not bad.

I argued with Andy when FT here on 2+2 when the bonus was first introduced, and he ended the argument with a "I wouldn't be caught dead playing low limits" line. $1 raked = 1 point $1 bonus = 16.6 points ($120 bonus requires 2,000 points) $0.06 bonus = 1 point In other words that's around a 6% rakeback, not 50%. Not to mention the games are tight as hell (except for the celebrity tables or NL 200 - 400). |

I have never tried crack, and don't really care to. My friend is Full Tilt's CEO and was just replying from what I remember him telling me. I didn't look into the numbers at all.
However, do you get a point for every dollar of rake from the pot? If so, at a full 10-player table, your contribution to that is only a dime. Hence, 10x the 6% number you quoted. Is this right (honestly asking not saying I told you so)? |
