very tough call. but i like your analysis. hard to put him on a hand that beats you seeing the way he played it.

very good chance he is trying to play the scare card.
only hand i see him beating you with is something like A2 or A7 of spades.

i have never played with spirit rock, would he call your raise preflop with A7 spades?

I don't play much NL but wouldn't that be a pretty awful line with A7s for SR?

Why did you bet so little on the turn? I don't think you want to see a river card here, so that doesn't make much sense to me. The way this hand was played, I fold the river.

I have no idea how that guy plays, all I know is that he is obviously very very good. Would he call your pre-flop raise with a suited connector or a suited ace? If so, I'd think fold here was the right play. Obviously though, you have some kind of read on his play to make this call.

I hope you won.

He had a chance to shut me out of the pot on the flop and the turn. I knew the river was just an attempt to try and scare me out of the pot due to my weak river bet.

Isn't he notorious for overbets with the nuts?

If I may ask, what happened to allow you to play 25/50 NL bankroll-wise? Just a couple weeks ago you said you were underrolled for party 15/30, and an entire 15/30 bankroll is like two stacks in the UB game.

due to my weak river bet.

You seem to enjoy making underbets w/ marginal hands and then calling big overbets for your stack. While you're feeling very smart right now, everybody enjoys playing against a player who plays like that.
