Re: Gamble! - 25/50 Ultimate Bet NL Hand
you have three options:
1)lead for more/call all in. 2) check raise all in. 3)weak lead, reraise all in. either way with this flop and your stack get the money in. or don't reraise with AK out of position while shortstacked. |

Re: Gamble! - 25/50 Ultimate Bet NL Hand
Several posters know the game and the players, it'd probably be helpful to them if you posted who this was played against...you are so short stacked anyway after the preflop call and the flop bet I can't see how you can't call here...but this game is above me...

Re: Gamble! - 25/50 Ultimate Bet NL Hand
I don't play in that game, there are posters here who do so you should weigh their responses accordingly. Yes AA is a possibiltiy of course but the size of your remaining stack makes this an easy call. You hit the K on the flop with the pot at approximately $1600 with about the same ammount left in your stack; anything other than getting all in however you think you are most likely to get called is not an option, regardless of level. If he has AA or KK tough luck but you are too short stacked to get away from it here.

Re: Gamble! - 25/50 Ultimate Bet NL Hand
I think that u are beat. even though u raised with 96 earlier ( which i imagine u were trying to steal some blinds and weak limpers) he still has to give u credit for a big hand. U raised and then called a re-raise preflop. Then after he showed so much strenth u lead into him on the turn. He has to know you have at least AK. Because your stack is small he is not going to try and bluff u. Fold

Re: Gamble! - 25/50 Ultimate Bet NL Hand
This is an extremely easy call, regardless of the limits or the players. You are getting nearly 3:1 (actually 2.9:1.1) on your call. Of course you are afraid of AA but even then, you have outs to trips or BD flush. Given your tiny stack size, your opponent is going to put you all in with any big pair, flush draw, or AK on this flop. So without a solid read on what hands he will limp reraise with, you've definitely got a call.

Ok, Ill be the first. You called his limp reraise with AKo and hit a K. Stacks are not too deep. What were you looking to hit on the flop if you are going to fold now?

Re: Gamble! - 25/50 Ultimate Bet NL Hand
disclaimer: I play much smaller stakes than this.
Against tight/sane opposition, I fold AK to big reraises. This guy is not tight/sane. Quite the opposite. With a short stack, I would probably just move in preflop, if you think there's any chance he'll call with a hand that you have crushed (Ax, Kx). Obviously, this play gets weaker if your stack is large in relation to his reraise, since even a madman will fold A4 to a big enough re-re-raise. (In this hand, once you see the flop, you clearly need to get all-in, and you picked an okay way to do it.) |

[ QUOTE ]
El Diablo wondered why I bet only 400 into the pot. I wanted to lure him in because I knew I was going to see the river anyways with an all in. Why not make 3 smaller bets that add up to 1600 instead of all inning if you want him to call the all in? [/ QUOTE ] What is obvius to you is equal obvius to your opponent. |

[/ QUOTE ] What is obvius to you is equal obvius to your opponent. [/ QUOTE ] It can be ObviOus in some situations but here your oponent could just be thinking your afraid of betting more. If he bets too much, QQ could easily ditch his hand with the K out there. If that happens your opponent should immediatly put you on AA,KK, or AK. There aren't any other hands a sane player would make that play with. |
