Despite a couple of posters naming him in threads yesterday it appears that Wake_Up_CALL is still currently free to carry out his mystery bumping of posts.

Perhaps he'd be given the benefit of the doubt with the lack of any evidence available. Therefore, I took the liberty of taking a few screen shots when I stumbled across this by accident this morning.

Hopefully this is enough proof to get the imbecile banned.

(NB: You might need to click on the zoom button to see the screens clearly - they're initially showing as thumbnails on my screen.)

Hopefully the screenshot will clarify any doubts as to who was responsible. I assume there's multiple ID's coming from the same IP address too seeing as there's several handles being used to bump posts.

How about just getting rid of the feature that allows it to happen? Does anyone actually use that feature anyway?

I don't think anyone objects to people legitimately bumping posts that are relevant.

The 'feature' being referred to is the ability to bump a post anonymously by posting and then immediately deleting said post.

The idiot in question is using this to bump old irrelevant posts such as Thomastem related stuff and now, apparently, Zerorake threads.

Basically, its the lowest form of trolling and, unless you accidentally stumble across it at the right time, its difficult to spot.

Yeah, but when most of the threads listed on the first page of the forum are ghost-bumped threads, it gets pretty damn annoying (IMHO).

Problem is its hard to distinguish a genuine post from a ghost-bumped one as it looks as though a genuine post has been written.

You end up having to go into the thread to determine that, say, Granny didn't actually post there. Some are easy to spot as the threads are obvious but others aren't so easily identifiable.
