Re: hit flush on turn, but board pairs on the river
i reraise here. SB's flop bet should be a K, and when they check-call the turn i'd doubt they have 2 pair. So when the king comes i'll make them for trips and reraise.
Is this bad? i don't think it is. Regards, Pete Harris |

Re: hit flush on turn, but board pairs on the river
i would raise the flop. you have gutshot+flush draw, and a free card on turn would be nice. the rest i play the same way. btw, raising the flop would also help you define his hand. if he 3-bets the flop, then 3-betting the river would be bad. if he just calls the raise, then i would lean towards 3-betting the river unless he is super-passive.

Villian is representing trips. Hero has a flush. Hero reraises and calls a cap expecting to win.

Re: hit flush on turn, but board pairs on the river
Raising the flop forces 2 players to call 2 cold...when only one other is in the pot already. I would rather overcall here and hope to pick up one extra guy in the pot.

I agree the pot is small and your still drawing. Protecting your drawing hand in a tiny pot isn't worth it imho.

i agree. i also would doubt the villain is playing a hand like K+rags on board to get his boat anyway

Raise the river! Do you think Villian check/called the turn with 2 pair?

Re: hit flush on turn, but board pairs on the river
Raise the river. I really don't think he would slow down on the turn if he has 2 prs or set. Probably just picked up his 3rd K. Raise and punish him.
