Default question of interpretation

do you see being ahead and being favored as the same thing? side argument form another forum.

They are different except that they are functionally the same.

The only time you know for sure one way or the other is when you see the other guy's cards which means someone is all in which means there's no more betting and the other cards will come regardless.

So being ahead means you would win if there were no more cards coming...but there are. And being favored means you're more likely to be the winner once all the cards come and there's nothing to stop them from coming out so you're more likely to win.

But no, they aren't the same, except that they act the same.

It's like two different kinds of hammers. They're both different but they can both bash your skull in the same.

ok. now i said they were different, but when put clearly with the example of cards to come, etc, the other side makes more sense.
