i am trying to get back into poker but I'm having some trouble.

hey, welcome Jim.

People here give great advice/feedback

post more specific questions, in their respective forums, you will be a better player becuase of this site, and these books. spend some money on a couple to start. especially Winning small stakes hold'em, by Ed Miller and David Sklansky if your going to collect some bonuses and start out small.
Post hands you played, and weren't sure on, and you'll get great feedback on where you might have mis-played.

the best thing to do is play with money you can't afford to lose. That way you'll want to win so badly, you can't help but show a profit.
