What is the secret?
Someone please tell me what the secret is to win a lot on party poker.
This is not a troll or flame post, I sincerely want to know. How to you guys endure the constant suckouts? I mean say you have AK or AQ you know something decent. A guy with j10 catches two pair to win. From the posts I assume a lot of you do rather well on party poker. So how do you do it? How do you overcome the bad beats, and other frustrating $hit that is part of poker? Thank you. |

Re: What is the secret?
variance is your friend that will come over and sleep with your wife but take you out for free drinks afterwards. It sucks, but when you think about it, what did you really lose that you didnt get back through free drinks?
Its easy to see why i am single... peace john nickle |

Re: What is the secret?
Okay, I'll bite.
Don't you realize that you want people calling with worse hands? They suckout sometimes, and it sucks. But that's how you make money. Haven't you realized this after 1,400 posts? |

Re: What is the secret?
Well I play no limit so two hands could crush me.
Only so much variance one can take when playing no limit. |

Re: What is the secret?
try, this is why i am not a no limit player. i can easily handle playing 4000 hands in a day and losing all my aces, because i have a bankroll, and am losing only a very small percentage of my roll with each hand. After my first several-hundred dollar all-in loss in no limit with aces, i decided it wasnt the game for me, because i just sat there, stunned, like a fish out of water.
Its part of the game youve chosen to play. If you let it get to you, you will not be a successful player. I assume you are a successfull player, so i know you have taken these beats before. You have handled them then, and you can handle them now. Ive always wanted to invest in a "beat the [censored] out of it" wooden post, that i could just literally beat the [censored] out of when i feel frustrated, but, instead, im just trying to master those emotions. Which is probably the better way to go... peace john nickle |
