Default Big bluff thread...

I thought a thread where we collect big bluffs might be interesting – either in terms of pot size or blowing someone off a big hand - (I rarely pull big bluffs so hopefully I'll learn something...)

Anyway, the only impressive bluff (for me) I’ve run recently was as follows:

5/10, 8-handed. I am BB with Q5o.

UTG limps, one caller, SB completes.

Flop is 665 rainbow & I lead for 30.

UTG makes it 120, limper & SB fold & I re-raise to 400. We both have 1500ish, he is a little weak-tight imo & I am playing very solid so I’m pretty sure he’ll give me credit for a 6 & fold his over-pair.

He thinks & thinks, then types ‘AA’ & folds.

I show & am rewarded with ‘fu fish’, which made the whole exercise worthwhile…

Please reply with any big bluffs you have run, together with your thought process.

Thx

Default Re: Big bluff thread...

i understand this bluff if utg raised before the flop, he didn't...did you read him for a high pocket pair, would you have still done the bluff if you new he held aces,
v. risky, its more likely, given the no re-raise before the flop, that he had a 5 no?
ballsy but brash i'd say.
