Default Loosening steal and defense requirements

Heads up I raise K4o and Q6o from the button without a second thought and I would defend with 98o and J7o. Translating the situation to 6 max when everybody folds to the button would it not make sense to steal and defend with those hands as well, or does the SB play too big a part in the equation to treat it as such?

My Folded BB against Steal is at 62% and steal is at 26.75%. And I'm starting to feel both are too weak, that I need to loosen up.

HU, you have allready invested a small blind, so its cheaper to raise and you only have one opponent with a random hand. When you are on the button, the SB will mess with your plans atleast 12-15% of the time, loose players more often. I´m not saying whether or not to raise with the two hands, just pointing out the differences.

But yeah, You should steal more, not sure if you need to defend more though.
