Default Desert Sands chip made by Chipco?

Anybody know if the Desert Sands Chip is made by chipco?

I have noticed that chipco chips usually have a thin white boarder outround the top outside of the chip.

I personally like how the desert sands chip has color all the way to the edge. Also it looks like you can semi-custom your chips http://www.nevadajacks.net/custom_poker_chips.htm

I will be interested to see how these wear. The chipco chip has a white border to hide wear.

Chipco's are slightly concave so the edges see the most wear and tear. That's why the leave it white. Some of there chips are solid color. See these - http://www.holdempokerchips.com/products.asp?cat=26

Default Desert Sands chips are slightly smaller

These chips have a noticeably smaller diameter than normal chip. Lay one on top of a normal chip and you can see the edges of the normal chip sticking out on all sides.
I'll measure them tomorrow when I get a chance.

Don't know what you're comparing the NJ chips to...they are EXACTLY the same diameter as the vast majority of chips out there. In fact they are slightly larger by a fraction of a mm to the majority of my chip samples.

I have three samples of Deserts Sands, they all measure 37.5 mm.
My real casino Paulsons are 39mm
My 10g faux clays are 39 mm
My Nexgens are 39.5 mm
My 13g Casino chips are 39.5 mm

Of course, your samples may be different
