Default Best TV idea...ever

I'd love to watch a few hours per week of the high stakes cash side game at Bellagio w/Doyle, Phil, Barry, Chip, etc. Doesn't need a beginning or end, or even dumbass Vince Van Sexton, just a live feed of their game. That would rock.

I think this is where the money pro's would draw the line. Having their tournament cards/strategy exposed is one thing, but I would think that seeing the hole cards during their "real" games would not be something they would welcome.

That said, I would definitely watch.

Even if I couldn't see their cards I would rabidly watch it, I agree that it is the best TV idea ever as far as poker players and entertainment value, it is also the worst idea ever as no pros are ever going to agree to it.

If this would ever be televised,I think you would find that they make their money on cash games beating the fish and breaking even with the pros.

I would watch hole cards or not. It doesn't really matter what the cards are when you get to see a $20,000 pot and higher. Just the thought of it gets me all aroused.

We would think not, but what if the producers kicked in a nice hourly rate for the players (which would be likely)

Actually... travel channel did air this game once. It was in one of their gambling programs that they normally air the hour before the WPT. They showed 4 or 5 hands, no hole cards. The players were Doyle B, Howard L, Phil I, a female whom I only saw from the back (not sure if it was Annie D or Jen H), one or two nobody high-rollers (fish who just wanna say they played with the best), and I can't remember who else. If the players let the cameras in for that show, they might very well let them in again.

I was at Bellagio last night, my friend and I drove to vegas to play for the weekend. I hear about the high limit games there all the time and figured they were probably in a private room somewhere. They are just in the small Bellagio poker section. The pros sit in there with the tourists everything from 4-8 to 200-400. It was wild to Hanson and Awada. Anyway, back to my point...anyone can just go in there and watch so I don't think the pros would mind all that much if there was a camera close by. Maybe so though, I'm not yet one of them.
