the only thing this is going to prove to you is that the people that were telling you to cap in that other thread aren't non-thinking morons, as you suggested.

everyone acknowledges that capping aces isn't always the correct play. but they also know that capping them in your hand would have been the correct play.

It was not the correct play in that hand based on the other players in the hand and my position, period. The majority of the critics were advocating always capping with aces, and offered NO good reasons why I should have other than "THEY'RE ACES MAN!!!".

Once again, someone with nothing more to say that "You should have capped". No reasons, no argument, nothing other than this vague feeling that "THEY'RE ACES DOOD!". Lol, you guys crack me up now.

If you are playing in your standard poor skill low stakes games, than I would almost always cap. The strategic reasons for not capping would be if you are against a more skilled opponent and need to be deceptive.

Aren't you the one who doesn't raise AQs UTG?

Without having seen the other thread you are talking about. I'll say that one of the only times I believe it's correct to not cap aces is against a smart, aggressive player heads up. And even then only rarely. In a multiway pot, or in low limit loose games I cap everytime. May I also mention that I play in low limit, loose games and cannot remember ever not capping. Although I'm away from my pt stats and can't say for sure.
