Boardwalk $3 every table game. $3 Let it Ride is pretty cool just to relax at and get some drinks. I'd recommend that plac highly. The drinks come fast as hell!

Go Downtown.

The Western Hotel and Casino has plenty of $1 single deck blackjack games. They have one $5 high roller table.

The El Cortez has plenty of $2 and $3 single deck games.

The Plaza has $5 double deck games.

Are single deck games +EV?

What is the maximum bet?

Why would they allow it if it is +EV for the player?

Not with basic strategy alone. The dealer hits soft 17 and there is no double down after splitting, but it is pretty low -- about a third of a percent.

What is the maximum bet?
$500

Why would they allow it if it is +EV for the player?
Actually, they probably could. You would not believe the bad play you see at $1 and $2 tables. +EV only counts if you don't do things like stand on soft 16 and don't hit a hard 18. Plus the El Cortez offers a "Royal Match" side bet that players like to play that has a healthy house edge.

The Western Hotel and Casino has some of the best free entertainment available in Las Vegas, all supplied unknowingly by the regular patrons.

When I was at the Sahara last spring the $1 had all been increaed to $2 minimum (and that was only in the early afternoon). So my buddies and I sat down at 1 (after a killer buffet at the Mandalay Bay) and played for a good 6-7 hours worth of solid drinking. We were so drunk by the end of it that every time we'd see the cocktail waitress coming, we'd have to chug our drinks before she got there otherwise she'd keep the fresh ones. We'd order another round at the same time, to which she constantly replied (are you guys sure?). To make a long story slightly shorter, I got back to my hotel, played some nickle slots while waiting for a cab, drank some more, and puked for 20 minutes in the airplane bathroom.
