Default Crazy hand.........

I have 5-6 diamonds. 2/4 NL. 2 handed. Flop is 9-7-4. 2 diamonds. He bets $32. I raise all-in. Good move or bad move?

Good move. You are basically the favorite against any hand other than a set, two pair, or higher flush draw. Given that board, it is unlikely he has any of those. It's counterintuitive, but you should not let him see the turn cheaply, even though you are on a draw.

How big is your stack? How big is his?

If you have $100, all-in is like, duh.

If you have $500, it's perhaps not the best move.

He had Q-9 and won a $300+ pot. I didn't hit.

Well, you got all your money in as a 57-43 favorite. Be happy that people are calling all-ins with Q9 in that situation.

Is that something you are able to figure out on the spot in your head?

I couldn't figure out those exact numbers in my head, but I could estimate under the assumption that I have 15 outs (9 flush outs plus 6 straight outs). That calculation is not impossible to do in your head, but it is unnecessary. You should just memorize that any time you have a straight and flush draw or straight flush draw, you are the favorite against anyone holding just a single pair without a higher flush or straight draw. With a board with very low cards like the one you described, I almost always assume that my straight and flush draw is the favorite.

2/4 rule works guut here

15 outs times 2*(number of cards coming) = ~60% favorite.

good move.
