Default Fish, or no? $215 hand for review

The villian and I chatted about this hand for a while afterwards. This is a somewhat standard play for me. Although it is also very dependant on PFR% stats I have on villian (Which in this case was none).

Thoughts?

I like this play. 99 against the range of hands you're up against from a typical button raiser gives you a solid edge, (somewhere around 3:2, IMO). That's good enough for a reraise/push.

By this point, I almost always have enough info in PT to know what his VP$IP and PFR tend to be, then go by that.

With no read...I dunno. I push tens but have either CCd or mucked nines and eights. My play with them needs work I'd be much more inclined to push AK here.

He either has great notes on you or it's a pretty bad call.

am i reading this wrong or is the raiser in emp and the pusher one off the button.

it worked out well but i think it's a pretty risky play.....

let me elaborate

using a line from the foxwoods tourney poster

- if you get called it's either a cointoss or you're a huge dog-

calling would have been the worst play since you would have to fold to a bet on that flop, although villain may have checked to you.

so it's basically all in or fold i believe, and an argument can be made for either.

I think Chief's play is fine, as is the call by Jesse preflop. JJ is a fine hand to go to war with with only 680 left if you fold at this level, in my opinion. Too many people will push ATs-AKS, 55(yes 55)-AA, and even KQs here, or if they're REALLY bad, 99.......

ive seen jess around quite a lot, and he/she plays pretty solid in my opinion. doesnt screw around early, plays quit tight, and understands good pot odds and decent stealing. i agree with dali, both plays were fine.

I don't play at this level but does the fact that Dali pushed from the button make it easier to call than to walk away from JJ?

If I were you. Would have pushed. If I were him...would have folded.
