Only if you care about it. It you just want the summary stats for each player, don't store them. If you want playback hands, do store.

The hand histories get huge, and given the number of hands you're going to mine it would not be practical to go back over all that detail by hand, so I would say to just leave it out.

Make sure that you have a hand history directory (PartyPoker\HandHistories\[UserName]). This directory is created when you play your first real money hand after the hand-history upgrade.
I think Party leaves YOUR hand histories for 30 days, but deletes observed hands as soon as you close the table.

Sublime;

I had this same problem...if the advice that was printed above is still confusing, try the pokertracker website - there is a pretty detailed set of instructions on how to configure the hand history reviews.

It sounds to me like you still haven't correctly set the configuration to review hand histories that you were not involved in.

The good news is that all this work will pay off. I have been using it for about ten days...usually open four tables while I'm at work, and four when I go to bed. After a short amount of time, I have approximately 730 players that have at least 50 hands. Lately, it's rare that I open up a table without at least four or five sets of notes.

That said, I'm not sure if I like this. Doesn't seem fair, and I'm concerned what effect it will have on the long-term success of on-line poker. Seems dangerously good.

The observed hand histories arent stored in your HHF directory, they are saved to the main poker client directory ie C:\partypoker So make sure when you are datamining, you need to have the auto-update running, with it pointed to the main directory. Should work.
